Your Bio

Susanna Avery-Lynch is a photographer living in Italy, honored to be a part of documenting its unscathed landscapes and the people who give it the motto "La Vita Dolce."

Susanna began her fascination with photographing life at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain documenting in photos, the adventures of a high-school dance team chosen to serve as ambassadors of America at the Olympic Games.

A few years later, she earned her degree at Auburn University, officially beginning her journalism career the day after she graduated, at CNN in Georgia, as a production assistant. Her drive and dedication led her to New York City a few years later, where she was a producer for CBS/Kingworld, eventually making her way back to CNN, this time in New York.

The desire to be in front of the camera led her to her birthplace of Columbus, Georgia and a year later, her amazing husband who was serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, Georgia.

With a leap of faith, Susanna decided to silence her personal narratives of the stories she told, allowing them to be told through photos. Though she has been photographing since she was 16, her fondest photos are created with military families as they endure love through our nation's wars.
